Set up personal email outreach
In Datagran Home, choose the client and project. Open Inbox, then Automations → New automation → Create a personal email automation. Use that link rather than the general editor's Email channel option. The email setup has three steps: Audience, Message, and Launch.
Gather these inputs
- Workspace and automation name: choose the exact client and project.
- Audience: company type, location, relevant business signals, and contact roles.
- Batch size: 10, 20, 50, or 100 people, selected after creating the automation.
- Message: your offer, desired reply, tone, and supported product claims. A writing sample is optional.
- Sender and schedule: work mailbox, sender timezone, weekday sending window, and daily email limit.
- Budget: the automation spend limit and a maximum spend for each research batch, in USD. Review the current estimates before paid work.
- Tracking and replies: whether to track opens and clicks, who handles replies, and any approved AI reply allowance.
- Launch review: eligible recipients, verified addresses, personal copy, and at least five distinct emails per person. Every reply pauses the drip.
Check what is ready
- Access. In Home, check Product access and Product roles. Inbox must be enabled, and the person creating outreach needs its Admin role for this project. A Home tenant administrator can resolve missing access.
- Mailbox. In Connections → Email, confirm the sender and project. A tenant administrator connects Google or Microsoft mail, then uses Manage → Check connection or Finish connecting. Confirm that the mailbox is available in Send from. Calendar access alone does not grant email access.
- Billing. Open Usage & billing in Home and check the available balance. The automation and batch limits must cover the current estimates. Missing project billing setup or provider rates need administrator or Datagran support attention.
You can research before connecting a mailbox. Create automation saves the setup. Estimate research shows a quote. Start research for N people begins paid work. Sending starts only after the separate batch review and approval to queue emails. Reply handling is chosen in that batch review.
A browser-equipped agent can help with this interface. The published external-agent tools cannot create or launch an email outreach campaign. For a read-only walkthrough, inspect the guides and existing status without submitting setup, connection checks, research, or approvals.
